“Enakor” and “European night of the museums”

2017 Gallery and auction house Enakor, Sofia, Bulgaria, participating in the “European night of the museums – Sofia”

Lyubena Fox and Thibault Barrere for the first time in Bulgaria, exhibiting paintings showcasing the revival of classical realism

They meet in Florence, Italy, led by their common passion – to convey through art their ideal of beauty and grace. Graduates of the Angel Academy of Art, they use the techniques studied there to develop their own style and sense of design, composition and colors. Although they are modern artists with a modern drawing, they are inspired by their love for classical painting, from Baroque through Rococo and Neoclassicism to Romanticism.

“This exhibition is retrospective, going through the different steps of our development – from the beginning of our training, starting with graphite, passing through charcoal and continuing with oil painting. Some of the works are from our days at the academy, others are preparations for upcoming paintings, and some are completed paintings showing our developing style.”

3 paintings as ARC Salon 2017-2018 finalists

First year participating, I’m honored to be part of the 13th ARC Salon finalists with these 3 paintings.

“When talking about competitions and exhibitions dedicated to 21st Century Realism, The International ARC Salon is the largest in the world in terms of entries, and the most diverse in terms of categories and international participation. This makes the International ARC Salon Competition the most influential and far reaching competition for Contemporary Realism in the world.”

The art of painting is a fascinating journey. For the artist, the creative process starts with a constant study of nature. From a pencil sketch and the concept of a line, through sketches of color, to the memorization of the imprint on the road.
With this exhibition, Lyubena and Thibault wish to take you behind the stage of artistic creation, opening the doors to one of the most intimate aspects of their art.
